Planes, Training and Automobiles....

Phew, what a hectic couple of weeks!! August ended with an impromptu work trip to Germany on the bank holiday until Thursday evening. I always enjoy a visit to Germany as the folks who work there are so bloody nice!! Especially Anke, Dirk, Heiko and Heinrich. Always involve you and treat you as one of their own, I always look forward to the nights out and the banter.

With a couple of days in the office, the remaining two days was spent on an InDesign training course that Annemarie popped down from Holland for. The course was with the most mentalist of trainers. Lets just say if it was 1940, she'd make a cracking Nazi general with her high pitched orders in broken english. For a moment I thought I was watching a one-man show of 'Allo 'Allo! Plus, in typical 'office' fashion, we spent most of the course emailing each other with sarcastic comments.

When I got back, the friday was spent off down at Ramshackles with Chris and Nick for a thoroughly enjoyable night of indie dancing and fun. The weekend consisted of me plonked infront of my laptop, typing out presentations for a week long meeting for the following of week. Much of which I didn't have chance to present because a certain attendee wouldn't shut the hell up. Don't you just hate those types that have to comment on absolutely everything?! I also had to do a presentation infront of 50 odd dealers which went fantastically I thought!! I'm never too looking forward to talking infront of large crowds, so it's always good when I manage to pull it off!

Right, time to slip back into slackness and laze about for a bit I think!

Sounds like a good end to August. Lets hope September holds much more fun ;)

Gretta.

Oh September just seems to hold a ton of work it seems :o( I do get another trip to Germany at the end of the month, so there's a nice way of ending it - countless bottles of red wine and free food on the company, wahey!!

Retro Night tommorow! Looking forward to it, sir!

Oh, and what is the deal with that art behind you?!

I dunno!! Was some right weird art in that place .. that was one of the tamer ones. Bloomin' foreign painters!!
