The Unstated Assumption

With this lovely flu I seem to have contracted, I also seem to have contracted insults from the opposite sex about 'the poor old fella with man flu'. Like they know suffering, I'd pass a water melon any day of the week than constantly run to the toilet every 5 minutes to hack up a ball of yellow flem thank you very much.

While I've got a chance to do nothing but sit on my arse, I've taken the time to watch this Star Trek Borg box set I bought a couple of weeks back, and I must say it's bloody good for Trek. It always amazes me why they don't use these fantastic villians more in the film environment than doing silly 'Khan' rip offs or 'prequel' films. They already have the key central players (Picard, Riker, Sisko and Janeway), why not use them with a new Enterprise supporting cast crew? That way you get a decent film and a new crew to kick-start a TV series. But what do we get lumbered with - Matt Damon in a 1970's uniform. Sigh!

Urgh, don't you hate it when you're on holiday from work and you get ill? That's got to be the ultimate underscored rule of Sod if you ask me. I've only been waiting around 8 months for my break and I get some sort of throat virus in the second week. Grr, damn you pesky bugs, give me my voice back!!

I had a very enjoyable outing to Snobs last Friday, a place i've always heard about, but never ventured to so it was rather dandy to check out the digs. Great music, very cool atmosphere, but far too cramped - an allowance at the door should be enforced if you ask me. Funny moment of the night goes to some kid who had one too many and walked into a full length mirror and then appologised to his reflection - classic! Freaky moment of the night goes to the bathroom attendee, I thought I'd stumbled into an American Prom film for a moment. Rather concerningly, there was a bowl of lolly pops next to him .. hmm, maybe he just crotch chopped at the bowl and yelled "Suck them!" when abuse was hurled in his direction? But anyways, it was a cool hang out, you should all go sometime, but just get there early!!

Any girls out there who prefer Beach Boys more to radio metal?!
